Alexandra Deal

Alexandra H. Deal joined the firm in 2005. Her areas of practice include criminal defense litigation, employment law and litigation, and general civil litigation. Ms. Deal represents clients in both state and federal court, as well as in various administrative agencies; counsels clients in employment-related matters; and negotiates employment and separation agreements.

She is a member of the First Circuit’s CJA appellate panel and the Committee for Public Counsel Services (CPCS) post-conviction panel, through which she handles criminal appeals and other post-conviction matters for indigent defendants.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Deal clerked for the Honorable John A. Terry at the District of Columbia Court of Appeals. She graduated from Cornell University in 2000 with distinction in all subjects, and received her J.D., with honors, from Boston College Law School in 2004. She is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.

Before becoming an attorney, Ms. Deal was a public relations associate and disc jockey in Burlington, VT. She is a member of the Massachusetts Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (MACDL) and the Massachusetts Employment Lawyers Association (MELA), and is an avid rock climber.
