Amanda Vanderhorst
Amanda Vanderhorst has worked at Stern, Shapiro, Weissberg & Garin since 2004, first as a paralegal and then as an associate beginning in 2010. She has worked on a wide variety of complex criminal and civil cases in both state and federal court. In United States v. Green, a federal death penalty case, she worked extensively on a challenge to the racial composition of the jury pool. In Commonwealth v. Odgren, she worked closely with the attorneys on all aspects of the defense in this first degree murder case. She received her J.D. from Suffolk University Law School, Summa Cum Laude in 2010 and her Bachelors Degree in Foreign Policy and Political Theory from Boston University's University Professors Program, Magna Cum Laude in 2004. Her areas of practice include criminal defense litigation, care and protection and children in need of services (CHINS) proceedings, family law, employment law and litigation, and general civil litigation.
