Kenneth M. Resnik

Kenneth M. Resnik joined the firm in 1999. His practice is concentrated in criminal defense and civil litigation. Mr. Resnik has represented individuals charged with crimes in federal and state court. He is known as a tenacious advocate for defendants, and is sensitive to the potential collateral consequences of criminal charges.   He believes that pretrial preparation and motion practice are crucial to the successful resolution of a criminal case.  Mr. Resnik has also has represented defendants charged with probation violations, represented both plaintiffs and defendants concerning restraining orders, represented persons in proceedings before the Sex Offender Registry Board,  and represented persons in professional discipline actions.  

Mr. Resnik also has experience in a range of civil litigation, including employment litigation, civil rights, tort, and wrongful death actions. In his employment practice, he has represented employees before the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination and in court, has negotiated numerous severance agreements, and counseled employees in workplace disputes.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Resnik clerked at the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. He earned his J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law in 1997, and also has a B.A. from the New School for Social Research and an M.S. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Mr. Resnik was named a “Rising Star” among Massachusetts lawyers by Law & Politics in 2006 and 2007.
